Whether you are interested prearranging your service or need an immediate cremation service for a loved one, our staff needs to collect accurate information before we begin. To help make this initial phone call easier, we have outlined some of the necessary information our staff requires.
Immediate Need
These calls need our employees to work quickly to begin the cremation process. Before a body is cremated, there are necessary pieces of paperwork that must be completed promptly. One of the first questions you will be asked is if you have already pre-arranged a service. If so, this makes the process easier, and the funeral director can begin coordinating staff to assist you.
If you have not arranged a service, initial information must be gathered to start organizing the service and completing necessary paperwork. Some of the initial questions we ask include:

The deceased’s name, date of birth, and date of death

Have they prepared a will that outlines their wishes for caring for their remains?

Is the deceased an organ donor?

Do you need a legal pronouncement of death?

The location to pick up the remains
Once these initial questions have been asked, the funeral director will arrange a time for you to come into our offices and complete the arrangements.
Pre-Arrangement
The process of pre-arranging a cremation service is similar to immediate need but occurs at a more relaxed pace. Initial questions we will ask include:

What would you like included with your service?

Your name, and other contact information

Who should we contact when you pass away?

Have you browsed through our selection of urns and funeral products?

How will you be paying (pre-pay or wait until death)
