After the ground has be disturbed by digging and refilling a grave, it is not as stable as it once was. The urn vault helps secure the ground and prevent it from collapsing when people or machines pass over the grave.

Traditional funerals typical include a burial service instead of a cremation. With this type of service, you will need to purchase a casket and a burial vault to bury your loved one in most cemeteries. Caskets as previously mentioned, serve to hold and transport the remains of the deceased. Caskets come in a selection of different types of wood and metal finishes. A burial vault is quite similar to an urn vault. It serves the same purpose in that it protects the casket while helping prevent the ground from collapsing if a machine or person walks over it.
